Beam Capacities

The starting point for all rack systems, beams derive capacity primarily through vertical profile (the height of the beam).  We can also vary metal thickness to achieve optimal capacity points.  The most common pallet rack installations use (2) Two pallets wide per shelf.  For more detailed rack specification / layout assistance, visit the resource page at: Resources / Literature/ Specials

Frame Capacities

Once shelf capacity, number of supported levels, and first beam level spacing (floor to top of first beam level), the Frame Capacity Chart guides us to an appropriate column size (part number).  Per RMI guidelines, safety factors of 1.92 to 1 are built in.  For more detailed rack specification / layout assistance, visit the resouce page at: Resouces / Literature/ Specials
